We guarantee that in achieving your degree ("Dan" or midnight blue belt [black] belt), every student will have developed, to the best of his or her ability, and will have learned to a very high level of knowledge/competence, the following:

Intellect and Spirit: A thorough structuring of the values of respect, discipline, thoughtfulness, strength of spirit, and mild temperament.  Significant background in proper behavior towards elders and those weaker.  A deeply held understanding of right and wrong; of proper and improper behavior.  A thorough understanding of how to achieve and be successful.  A thorough philosophy of proper conduct in all areas of life, as well as successful strategies to cope with difficult times.

Self-Defense: Eighteen tactical sparring techniques teaching: distance, control of punching, kicking and self-defense strategy.  Twenty-three escapes and grappling techniques to deal with mild to extreme aggression.  Then "forms" ranging from 22 to 52 movements, coming from Korea, Northern and Southern China, from 800 A.D. to the twentieth century and teaching: balance, direction, eye control, speed control, breath control, timing and power.  Twelve hand striking techniques for short distance defense, fifteen kicking techniques for longer distance or alternative defense, ten blocking techniques to protect all vital areas of the body.  Integration of all physical techniques into a complete, unique highly effective self-defense system.

Academic: A thorough background in Korean and Chinese martial arts vocabulary.  A thorough knowledge of Korean and Chinese martial arts history, geography, culture and philosophy going back to 3,000 B.C.E.  Significant experience in leadership in controlling, teaching and presenting material to students.

This is to First Degree Midnight Blue (Black) Belt.  We offer 9 Higher, Internationally Certified Degrees.
